The Mission

Westville 100: Supporting Food for Focus is a 100km walk taking place on June 21, 2025, to raise funds for the Food for Focus program, which provides weekend food support for 15 food-insecure families, including 53 children, in the Westville community.

Rev. Dr. Mary Taylor will be walking the 100km route to raise funds and awareness for Food for Focus.

The Goal

The event aims to raise $30,000, ensuring the Food for Focus program remains financially sustainable for the year ahead. Securing this funding for the year gives local families the security of knowing they will have reliable food support, and helps to relieve fundraising stress for program organizers.

What is Food for Focus?

The Food for Focus program provides essential weekend food assistance to 15 local families, that include 53 food-insecure children in our community.

A collaborative program to help feed hungry children, Food for Focus is built on a partnership between St. Paul United Church, Schools Plus, and Walter Duggan Elementary School. Working together, Food for Focus delivers food directly to local families in need, helping children in our community get the nutrition they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

How are families chosen?

Families benefiting from the program are chosen by Schools Plus, and are not affiliated with The United Church of Canada, ensuring impartial and needs-based support.
